About the Role
The Senior Technical Compliance Officer is to support the Inspectorate function and issue
guidance in relation to The Alderney eGambling Ordinance, 2009 to AGCC licensees and
certificate holders, and in respect of the Technical Standards and eGambling Cloud
Guidelines.
Key Areas
The key performance areas of this position will include:
Providing technical and operational guidance relating to a wide range of issues, including probity, compliance and regulation of licensees and certificate holders.
Assisting and advising in the approval of initial Gambling Equipment.
Assisting and advising in the approval of changes to approved Gambling Equipment.
Monitoring compliance of AGCC licensees and certificate holders, including, but not limited to: the inspection of licensees; Internal Control System, Business Associates and gaming equipment approvals.
Develop an understanding of technical requirements and technological risk.
Key Skills
The Senior Technical Compliance Officer should display the following ongoing key skills:
Essential
Experience within eGambling operation, software provider or hosting facility.
Knowledge and understanding of IT infrastructure.
An understanding of software development, testing, maintenance and approval processes.
Ability to review and understand system controls.
Awareness of cybersecurity and associated risks.
The ability to express difficult concepts in a clear and concise manner.
The ability to work under pressure and provide practical and decisive advice, sometimes in urgent situations.
Excellent communication skills, oral and written, with the ability to deal with people at all levels.
The ability to work as part of a team and a commitment to team working.
